Taking a portrait is one thing I am not so good at, well.. at least I realize that. Lately I am tired of shooting flowers, buildings, etc. and all those non-movable objects and have tried to capture more of people's photo. It's also a nice flavor to any trip as I can record their lifestyle, clothes, culture, so on. It only takes a courage to ask and take a shot. Most of the travel/ street portraits below are half body shot as I normally travel with a single 35mm or 50mm lens. It's always challenging as there is very little I can do to control the outdoor lighting as well as their positioning (unless making a conversation and asking them nicely to move to the direction of the light). Let's give it a go during your next trip, ask someone who stands out to post for you (can't be your friend).
