I've been shooting lots on the street lately, I used to avoid being in the typical tourist areas like Akihabara, Shibuya, Harajuku, etc. mostly all the areas I previously posted on my Tokyo Street series. However, street shooting in those areas is really fun as there are many unique & unusual & untypical subjects of interest. Keep your eyes open and you will be rewarded for :D All photo were shot with M-E and Canon 50/0.95. 50mm really gives a different perspective to 35mm and is also way harder to get things in focus..
Starting from Shibuya where I visit quite often (mostly food, shopping & UFO catcher), there was a heavy promotional campaign from Evian over the weekend, they're giving away lots of samples. This shot was at f0.95!
Typical scene at Shibuya crossing & its vicinity
Now @ Akiba to check out some nerds and electric town. As soon as I got off the train, this kid's t-shirt really got me. Reads "THE ROAD IS A LIAR WHO ALWAYS SPEAKS THE TRUTH"
On my back to Akihabara JR station, spotted the long queue of people, just out of my curiosity, I tried to find out what would those people be waiting for in the midst of a hot summer day. And here we go, this bikini girl was giving a flyer and a stamp card for one of the electronic store's campaign. I like how this guy made the foxy eye contact :D
Another obvious street scene everywhere in Akiba, a maid-cafe girl chatting with her potential customer.
