This wasn't my 1st time visiting Tokyo Game Show in Makuhari but for once, I intended to look for interesting cosplayers at the exhibition for my photo taking. Regarding the event itself, it wasn't much to comment on due to the lack of major release/ breakthrough (well I spent most of the time looking around here & there, didn't really focus on any particular company/ maker). Besides all those game demo, technology, stage/ talk show & stuff, the number of cosplayers on those two days of the event was probably second to only the World Cosplay event thing in Nagoya (this is just my opinion). Regardless of the heat on that day, you can really sense those people's passion and their love for the costume of their fav character. The details and some acting are quite amazing, I just can't imagine how much time one would have to spend to make such a costume/ prop. There was crazy amount of people queuing to snap photos of characters of their choice (the less they wear, the longer the wait), thus I didn't bother to wait in huge line, just picked whichever one with less queue and took my best shot (my favorite of the day was the iPhone 5S guy). I never joined this sort of event before, so I was thinking how I could manage each shot..but most cosplayers were quite experienced (at least those I took their photos), they posted well and followed the photog's lead during the shooting. How many character (s) can you recognize?
All photos were taken with Canon 50/0.95. Note the amazing Canon glow on several photos!!
