Weekend Escape@Kawaji Onsen

It was a great weekend: reuniting with Kawin, a good old friend from NZ; getting out from the city; and soaking ourselves in the onsen! The weather was fantastic, too bad.. the only missing piece was the foliage as the leaves just began to start changing colors. We started off really early from Shinjuku then arrived in Nikko visiting Toshogu Shrine. After stopping for lunch, the bus tour took us to see some greenery at Ryuokyo Valley with nice waterfall and lots of mountains. It was tiring as hell once we got back to the ryokan, but I must say that the place was really spot on. Great view from the outdoor bath, awesome food and the room offers a priceless view where we can see some naked dudes bathing in an outdoor pool! Sweet dream.

On our 2nd day, we took it really easy and went to Nikko Edo Wonderland, good stuff thro as if we went back to the Edo period, lots of fun..
