Your Okinawa photographer — local and English-speaking

Professional photography across the whole island  ·  Naha · Chatan · Onna · and beyond

Meet your Okinawa photographer

I don't send you to just anyone. My Okinawa partner is someone I know and trust personally — I've gone through their work in detail, and this is who I recommend when I can't be on the island myself.

They've been shooting professionally in Okinawa since 2016, so they know the island properly — which beach has the best light at 5pm in July, the back road to Cape Manza that skips the tour buses, how to get someone who's never been photographed before to actually relax. From military family sessions in Chatan to golden-hour couples at Nirai Beach, it's some of the best local work I've seen.

Why I don't share their name: this isn't a directory listing, it's a personal referral. I put my own name and reputation behind every session — 2,000+ clients, 4.9/5 on Trustpilot. All bookings and pre-booking questions go through me, so you can book with confidence — and since this isn't a platform, if anything gets lost in translation between you two, I can always step in to help.

How I vet my partners

  • I go through their portfolio myself to make sure their style actually matches mine.

  • Years of professional, paid experience shooting international clients — not a hobbyist.

  • Before we ever partner up, we talk and get to know each other properly — I'm looking for someone I'd trust with my own family's photoshoot, not just someone who can use a camera.

recommended locations for your photoshoot in Okinawa

Chatan & American Village backstreets

The most dramatic coastal scenery on the main island — and that's saying something. Rugged coral cliffs drop straight into turquoise water, with the open East China Sea as your backdrop. Unlike the flat, sandy beaches most people picture, Manza has real scale and texture. For proposals, the headland at sunset is one of the most genuinely spectacular settings we've found in five years on the island. Families and couples both work beautifully here.

Cape Manza, Onna Village

The most dramatic coastal scenery on the main island — and that's saying something. Rugged coral cliffs drop straight into turquoise water, with the open East China Sea as your backdrop. Unlike the flat, sandy beaches most people picture, Manza has real scale and texture. For proposals, the headland at sunset is one of the most genuinely spectacular settings we've found in five years on the island. Families and couples both work beautifully here.

Nirai Beach, Chinen Peninsula

One of the quietest beaches on the main island that still has real visual impact. Tucked below low cliffs on the south-east coast, it rarely draws the crowds that hit the Onna resort beaches. The water is that particular Okinawan turquoise-over-white-sand combination, but with a natural frame of rock and greenery that gives portraits genuine depth. A strong choice for families who want the classic Okinawan beach look without the parasols and paddleboats of the busier spots.

And there are many more! My partner photographer will be happy to share their local knowledge and insights to help you plan the best photoshoot.
