Shinjuku Gyoen Park is the top place on my list for cherry blossom viewing and every occasion photoshoot. It is spacious with many photogenic corners we can easily spend several hours hours on: wooden Japanese bridge, pond, French garden, teahouse, huge picnic lawn, etc. The most unique aspect of this park is that it is home to almost 1,000 cherry blossom trees from about 70 varieties! Some bloom earlier than others, so that it offers an extended period of cherry blossom viewing from early March until early/ mid April. Be warned thro, that the park could get extremely busy during the peak of sakura season (mid March to early April) where you could spend up to an hour queuing to buy a ticket.
