We kept a close eye on the weather forecast right up until the last minute, hoping for clear views of Mount Fuji. Unfortunately, the rain was here to stay. But every surprise proposal we photograph in Kawaguchiko comes with a backup plan.
On the day, we quickly pivoted to our pre-scouted rain location and the proposal went ahead flawlessly. As it turned out, the rain became part of the magic—adding mood, reflections, and dramatic light that made every image even more memorable.
